Midwifery Care 

At Home Prenatal Care and Hospital Birth
Get professional prenatal care in your own home with detailed, longer visits with your midwife. We offer the same testing as the hospital, as well as additional services. A few weeks before your birth, you start seeing a doctor of your choice. Once in labor, your midwife will meet you at the hospital so you can enjoy her continuous, familiar support during your labor and birth.
-At home or out of hospital office one hour visits
-Convenient scheduling 
-On call support
-Sibling and husband/partner participation in prenatal care
-Same testing and low risk treatments offered as the hospital 
-Thorough education and support regarding health related choices and tests in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
-Natural remedy and nutritional counseling
-Emotional, Psychological, holistic support for mom and baby
-Childbirth education optional
-Continuos, professional support during labor, birth, and postpartum


Home birth Package
As a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife, I am happy to provide in-home midwifery care for low-risk women. Homebirth is a safe, economical, beautiful, and intimate alternative to hospital birth. Please contact me for more information on the risks and benefits of having an out of hospital birth, and why more and more women are desiring to welcome their precious babies  in the comfort and safety of their own homes. A standard midwifery care package includes all aspects of care during the childbearing year, it includes but is not limited to the following:

Prenatal Care: -
-Labwork and testing (If applicable or desired)
-Ultrasound
-Prenatal visits every month until 28 weeks, bi-weekly until 35 weeks and then weekly until bad arrives
-Education regarding important topics throughout the pregnancy including but not limited to nutrition, exercise, testing options, breastfeeding, childbirth education, sibling integration, etc. 
-Available by phone and/or email for questions and problem solving as needed throughout the pregnancy
-Referrals to physicians or other medical professionals if  necessary
Labor and Delivery:
-Skilled at home monitoring for mom and baby during labor and birth
-Labor and delivery (Homebirth only)
-In home care for immediate postpartum period (4-8 hours after birth)
-Emergency Support: I carry certain medications, IV equipment, oxygen, and herbs for emergencies or troubleshooting during labor and postpartum
-Referrals to physicians or other medical professionals if necessary
-Waterbirth
-Breastfeeding Support
-Newborn Options (same as hospital)
-Newborn Exam
Postpartum:
-In home check ups for mom and baby at 24 hr, 3-4 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks.
-Breastfeeding Support
-Weight checks for baby
-Referrals to physicians or other medical professionals if necessary
-Newborn Screen
-Pap Smear
-Available by phone as needed for additional support and problem solving if necessary



Doula Services

As a DONA International doula, I offer continuous, professional support during labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. I offer these services in the hospital or at home. The presence of doulas has shown to decrease the amount of cesareans and complications a woman experiences during birth. Women with doulas have also been shown to have shorter, easirer labors, fewer incidences of postpartum depression,  better success breastfeeding, and are overall more satisfied with their birth experience . A birth doula package is customizable, but usually includes:
-2 Prenatal visits 
-Assistance with birth plan
-Childbirth Education
-Support during your labor, birth, and immediate postpartum
-2-3 postpartum follow up visits 
-Breastfeeding Support
-Birth Story
-Screening for Postpartum Depression 
-Available by phoned during pregnancy and postpartum to answer questions and make suggestions
-Referrals to appropriate and trusted professionals such as chiropractors, massage therapists, midwives, lactation experts, doctors,etc. as appropriate.

Advanced Postpartum Support

absolutely love this part of my job. I offer advanced in-home postpartum support as an ad-on to midwifery care, and as a separate custom service to many family. I have been serving postpartum women and newborns in Central Oregon since 2011. I have extensive experience with newborns including experience with multiples, preemies, sleep training, and singleton babies. The list below includes some of the services I can do for you and your family. Postpartum packages are customized to meet your families individual needs, you can opt for one service, or all of them.

-First Night: support for the first 24 hours after birth
-Breastfeeding support
-Postpartum depression screening/support
-Cooking, cleaning, household chores
-Nursery set up
-Running errands
-Overnight support/care
-Remedies and recommendations for common ailments for both mom and baby
-Available by phone for questions, etc.
